The Fourth Assignment

Untitled

Here's my shots for my fourth outside assignment, reflections. They're not exactly good, but I guess there are worse shots out there. The only shot I kinda like is the top shot because of the darker colours and the lines that lead around the shot. Attempt to enjoy.

Bryan, I really love the angle this shot was taken from. I still cannot figure out how you did this, but i really like it. I wish there was more detail around the door handle, but I love how it almost appears as a window into a new world. It it like you and your brother are inside the door handle. I wish there wasn't a shadow below the handle because I think it is somewhat a distraction. I really enjoy how much detail is seen through the door handle, though. I can make out the wallpaper and the back door. I think i would also like it better if the door handle took up more of the image. Maybe you could crop it in closer?? I really like this concept thought and the angle is fantastic! I LOVE IT!

Thanks for the comment! I'm with you on your criticism. The only thing I can't do is crop the door handle any closer because it would lose too much resolution.

This photography immediately caught my eye. Recently I’ve been experimenting with reflections in my work and seeing this was very inspiring! This image is very strong due to the fact that so many different aspects of photography were used. The DOF is incredible and allows the audience to see the whole image and can see very clearly in the background scene in the doorknob. The shadow of the doorknob can be used somewhat as a leading line. Keep up the interesting and unique work!

I love this image because i think the mood is great but most importantly it is such a unique angle.

I'm not sure why your not so fond of the bottom one, i really like it. I must obviously say that you shouldn't have it directly in the center, and if you off centered it more, I think it would really enhance the quality of the photo [maybe you could have cropped it a little bit]
Its really clear what your assignment was [reflections] and i think the quality of the photo is really good as well! good job.

Hi Bryan,

I work for your dad and he showed me your blog. I really like your work. You have great eye. I cannot figure out how you got this shot. Was a mirror involved? LOL

Keep up the good work. I enjoy your photos!
